Shanghai "I" innovation physical space site and service system design.
The project C-kiosk mainly focused on the dissemination of information from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. The purpose was embedding information kiosks into creative parks, thus boosting the development of the design industry in Shanghai.
The principle of the form design was based on the screen sizes and human behaviors. I tried to reduce the feeling of spatial occupation by building an open swirling space, attracting the attention of passersby.
I made a small scale of the interactive model, which allowed tourists to experience the kiosk physically. I printed the drawings and diagrams on translucent membranes in order to integrate them with the exhibition site. The translucent membranes had the same properties with the kiosk, which were both in harmony with the surroundings.
Besides that, I made several small grey models by a 3D printer and arrange them in different space to help visitors understand the flexibility and functionality of the kiosks. Each space has its own spatial properties. Those four spaces are the most common places in creative parks. I also made a small-scale model of Shan-street Loft to illustrate the real application of the kiosks.
